Hot brewed coffee is an incredibly important part of the coffee category as it makes up ~50% of the IEO coffee category (60% at breakfast)…and the product mix at breakfast is even higher for McDonald’s.

We have several key challenges and gaps vs. our competitors:

  1. Freshness is the #1 driver of satisfaction in hot brewed coffee
  2. Over 33% of consumers say lack of consistency is a reason they chose to purchase from a competitor
  3. Build up our awareness and consideration of McCaf
